Happy First Birthday Little Andrew! We had to help him open all of his gifts of course, and at first the wrapping was more exciting than anything else. But, when we showed him how to hit the baseball off the t-ball stand with the bat, helped him take the little Fisher Price men in and out of the truck and the crane, and propel his little Tonka cars on the tile floor, his excitement grew!
We were nervous about giving little Andrew sugar because up to this point he hadn't so much as tasted a bite of a cookie. I think the photos go to prove the best part of the birthday cake was grabbing it in his hands, examining its new texture and then tasting it for approval!
Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier . . . Andrew LOVED his birthday hat! He wore it all night, and when it slipped off his head he kept reaching for it! More to come . . .
